GoDay provides Canadians with short-term, low-value loans. These loans are not intended to provide a long-term financial solution. Rather, they are intended to solve urgent but temporary cash-flow needs.
How do I apply for a GoDay loan?
You can apply for a GoDay loan by completing an online application 24/7. The process is quick and easy; we are committed to offering one of the fastest, short-term loan services online. Within seconds of submitting your application, we will let you know if you have been approved. Should we need any additional information from you, we'll be in touch promptly by phone or email. How quickly can I receive funds?
GoDay partners with the most reputable financial institutions and uses the fastest tools in the industry to ensure you get the speediest service possible. Funding times vary by financial institution. We will advance your loan by direct deposit or Interac® Email Money Transfer. A GoDay Team Member will discuss available options prior to releasing your loan.
How much can I borrow?
The first time you take out a GoDay loan, you can borrow a maximum of $500. As we get to know one another and establish mutual trust, we are open to discussing an increase in loan amount up to a maximum of $1500.
What do I need in order to get a GoDay loan?
To get a GoDay loan, you must:
- be a Canadian resident over the age of 18
- have an open bank account with a Canadian bank or credit union
- have your own, valid email account
- provide us with your home or cell phone number
- be employed and working in Canada
Do I need to be employed in order to get a GoDay loan?
Yes. Currently, you must be employed in Canada, and you must collect a regular income.
Can I get a GoDay loan if I am not a homeowner?
Yes. Renters are welcome. As long as you can provide a current address, details of a regular income, and a guarantee to repay your loan, we're happy to consider your application.
Do I need a bank account to get a GoDay loan?
Yes. To take out a payday loan with GoDay, you must have an open bank account with a Canadian bank or credit union so we have somewhere to deposit your funds!
What personal information does GoDay collect?
Does GoDay perform credit checks?
Although we do not run a credit check, we do run a credit report that appears on your credit history. It is likely this will have no impact on your credit score but does depend on your credit history.
What if I have bad credit?
While we do not do credit checks, we do use an advanced and quick reference system to assess your credit when reviewing your application. That said, you will not necessarily be denied if you have poor credit. Credit is just one of many factors we consider.
Do I need to give a reason for my application?
No. We do not need to know how you plan to use the money. As long as you borrow responsibly and are able to pay your loan back on time, we are happy to bridge your cash flow gaps.
What if I am already in debt?
GoDay strives to be a responsible lender. Our service is not intended to be part of a long-term financial solution, and should not be used to repay existing debt. We ask that you apply for a GoDay loan only if you are confident in your ability to pay it back within the specified time frame – without incurring further debt. How much will a loan cost me?
Loan fees vary depending on the delivery method you choose. Exact fees are always disclosed upfront, before you sign a GoDay agreement. There are no hidden fees. However, should you fail to repay your loan within the specified term – a maximum of 30 days – you will incur additional fees.
When will I need to pay back my loan?
How long you are able to borrow funds for is based on your "trust score" with GoDay. Generally customers with established trust can choose their own repayment dates as long as it's within our maximum borrowing term of 30 days. You will be asked to specify your repayment date when completing your application.
How soon can I borrow again?
Since GoDay is committed to responsible lending, our policy is that you must repay your current loan with us in full before applying for another. How do I pay back my loan?
On the agreed date, GoDay will automatically withdraw payment directly from your bank account. If you wish to make alternative payment arrangements please contact Customer Service at least two business days prior to your repayment date. If I am struggling to repay my loan, can I extend it?
Our service is intended to provide a short-term solution to unexpected financial hurdles. We encourage you to pay your loan back on time. If, however, you are absolutely unable to do so, we ask that you contact our collections department as soon as possible to discuss repayment. The number is 1-888-98-GODAY.
What happens if I don't repay my loan?
If you fail to repay your loan within the specified term, we will contact you to arrange payment. If you are still unable to repay the loan, we will apply a $60 dishonored payment fee. Your account will be handled by our professional collections team. They will do their best to help you manage repayment. If, after 60 days, you have still not repaid your loan, we will forward your account to an external collections agency. We will all do our best to help you figure out a solution. If, however, you fail to cooperate, your credit score will be impacted for up to six years, as will your relationship with GoDay.
How do public holidays and weekends impact GoDay service?
A loan may only be deposited into your financial institution if it is open for business. For regular hours and details of bank holiday closures, please consult your financial institution. Also, please note that GoDay will be closed on bank and statutory holidays.
