Needless to say, weddings aren\u2019t cheap. What do you think is a reasonable amount to spend on a wedding?<\/p>\n<p>So where do the numbers above come from? Once you break down the costs of everything from the number of guests to the honeymoon and everything in between, when it comes to wedding planning, budgeting is key. \u201cThe average cost of a wedding remains close to US$30,000, with couples spending roughly US$250\u00a0per guest to attend,\u201d said\u00a0Andy Whittaker of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingwire.com\/\" class=\"broken_link\">WeddingWire<\/a>, the company behind the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/go.weddingwire.com\/newlywed-report?_ga=2.78586644.1044308099.1599243539-312241069.1599243539\">2020 Newlywed Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/2553299\/wedding-planning-by-the-numbers-how-much-couples-are-spending-and-on-what\/\">Global News<\/a> broke this down to a 120-person guest list at a standard wedding. The venue often eats up the largest chunk of the budget, when you look at the money\u00a0typically spent on vendors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Venue:\u00a0$8,798<\/li>\n<li>Catering:\u00a0$6,877<\/li>\n<li>Band:\u00a0$3,848<\/li>\n<li>Photography:\u00a0$2,435<\/li>\n<li>Rehearsal Dinner:\u00a0$1,935<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are definitely costs that you are probably forgetting about to add to that list. Make-up and hair, all the traditions including your something blue, the list of costs continues.That\u2019s why there are so many wedding blogs, Pinterest Boards and \u201cdo it yourself\u201d or DIY projects have become so popular when it comes to getting married. Did you know there are even resell websites and specific Facebook groups for couples to get rid of their wedding decorations, dresses, and more?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no surprise with the cost of things above why people are wanting to save money where they can. So if you are getting married it may be worth spending the extra time to recycle someone else\u2019s goods or get crafty when it comes to the details.
